TUBING

THE BEST TUBING TRIP ON THE SHENANDOAH

In early summer, when the water levels tend to be higher, tube trips usually run from Bealer’s Ferry to Foster’s Landing. This three mile, three hour section contains some small waves, a cool limestone cliff, and spectacular mountain views.

Lower water levels? No problem! In that case, we move tubing trips to the Seekford’s to Burner’s Bottom section. This trip is three miles of the most scenic portion of the Shenandoah with lots of deep, calm pools, and the famous class two Compton Rapids – making us the only outfitter whose tubing trip includes them! This float normally takes between 3 and 5 hours depending on conditions.

Both are fantastic tubing floats—for friends, family and fun!

Tubing season starts around mid-May and goes into mid-Sept. For Fall Tubing, plan to come for the 10:30 and 11:30 trips due to the cooler mornings.

If low water, we might not be doing the 11:30 trips every day. Check the front page of the website for updated info. as the river goes up and down.

VIRGINIA'S NO PUBLIC DRINKING LAW

  • We want everyone to be safe on and off the River.
  • Alcohol and drugs can affect your judgment and your abilities can be diminished. Virginia is taking a strong stand against drinking in public and while on the water. Open containers in public and in National forest boat landings can result in tickets/fines.
  • Please use wisdom so you can enjoy the river and return for years to come. We reserve the right to check coolers. Please no glass on the river.
