Rafting

THE SHENANDOAH RIVER PROVIDES GREAT BEGINNER RAFTING

Whether you are a group of friends or a family with small children, rafting is the relaxing way to enjoy a day on the River.

Both trips include Compton’s Rapid, a class 2, for a little excitement. Here you will want to take a break at one of the sandy beaches which is a great place to swim or have a picnic across from the towering Golden Rock cliff.

Rafting allows even our most novice paddlers to visit the prettiest, most popular spot on the River without concerns of turning over.

VIRGINIA'S NO DRINKING IN PUBLIC LAW

  • We want everyone to be safe on and off the River.
  • Alcohol and drugs can affect your judgment and your abilities can be diminished. Virginia is taking a strong stand against drinking in public and while on the water. Open containers in public and in National forest boat landings can result in tickets/fines.
  • Please use wisdom so you can enjoy the river and return for years to come. We reserve the right to check coolers. Please no glass on the river.
