If you proceed back down the road, you can cross the main road to another dirt road that goes down to a 10 acre lake in the National Forest for fishing, etc. Below the lake is a path leading down to the River...just follow the foot path (the river is about a mile hike from Bella Vista.)

If you continue north on the main road 1/2 mile, it will take you to Shenandoah River Outfitters. The store is open from 8 AM to 5 PM daily in season to rent canoes, kayaks and tubes or buy your fishing supplies. Do make reservations for these activities. There is a pay phone available there and a place where you may put your trash before going home.
